I’ve been reading “Trust Agents” a new book recently written by Chris
Brogan and Julian Smith. The book is about building trust, relationships, being transparent, and making the best of the tools we have to communicate in today’s exciting social media era. I came across a blog post today from Jay Baer; called “Can Social Connectivity be Taught? My Thoughts on Trust Agents” Jay hit it right on the head with his statement that these ideas are more about passion for what you do, than trying to be something you are not. I think his Blog post is an excellent read for anyone hungry to learn more about this thing called “Trust Agents”
In my industry of real estate we must meet the needs and expectations of the connected consumer, always be thinking about taking our real estate career to the next level. (Always learning) My goal is to work on building relationships, trust and knowledge with others in my industry and the public. I believe you must be able to differentiate yourself from the competition. The more high-trust relationships you have with real estate agents outside your local marketplace, the more referral opportunities you create. The more high-trust relationships you have the consumer, the more your business expands.
They say technology will never replace the agent, however the agent with technology and good social media skills will. It’s about sharing, answering questions, offering suggestions, recognition of others, and just plain “Paying it Forward” What do you think?
“Expect the Best” Mike
