What’s a RSS, IDX, VOW, & a Ping, Have To Do With Real Estate?

It wasn’t that long ago that the real estate industry did not have terms like, RSS News or Feeds, Blogging, IDX/VOW, Search Engine Optimization, pinging, twitter and Facebook. The times are a changing faster then a speeding bullet. Now mitigation, sub prime mortgages, loan modification programs, Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac bail-outs, are becoming the new language in addition to the high technology. One nice thing to think about, the media will be focusing on the elections the next few month’s, while we see a surge in sales. (My crystal Ball)

The real estate brokers and agents of the today need to re-invent themselves, re-educate themselves, and re-evaluate their business plans or get lost in the shuffle. In addition to the above marketing tools and more to come, the old fashioned basic sales skills, personal customer service and fire in your heart for this business will still be a top priority. Isn’t this just the most exciting time in history to be in the real estate business?
I think so!

Yes, it’s ugly out there right now. People losing homes, record high inventories, low-ball offers, and numerous other challenges we have not had to face to these extremes in the past. I believe nobody is smarter than all of us. That’s why I like the ability to get feedback and give feedback on the various Blogs, social medias, and groups that we belong to.

I am grateful that I have smart people like you to share the solutions to our challenges for today’s real estate market. How about you?
