Real estate agents, brokers and managers need to be savvy to changes taking place in our industry as they continue to come our way. Here’s an important one that Scott Rinn, analyst for NAR explains. It’s the new Good Faith Estimate (GFE) and HUD-1 which went into effect on January 1, 2010.
Contact your key mortgage originators who you normally recommend to make sure they are all on the same page when it comes to explaining these changes with a positive attitude. I would also check with your closing department or title company to understand their current procedures to avoid any embarrassing situations this year.
